About Monica:

Monica began her yoga journey in 2007 to relieve lower back pain, but quickly discovered yoga’s physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. Inspired by the teachers and teachings that have shaped her practice, she strives to bring mindfulness and peace into her classes, creating a light-hearted and inclusive environment. Monica believes yoga is for everyone and tailors her classes to students' unique abilities, offering modifications as needed.

A lifelong student, Monica continues to deepen her practice through yoga and meditation. She completed her 300-Hour Teacher Training at Align Yoga and Strength (2021) and 200-Hour Teacher Training at Tula Yoga (2018). She also holds certifications in 15-Hour Meditation, 75-Hour Yin Yoga (including Pranayama and Mindfulness Meditation), Barre Above, Yoga with Resistance Bands, and is a Yoga Alliance Certified Education Provider. Monica is also a White Light Reiki Master Teacher and is pursuing Sound Healing Certification.
