About Kimberly:
I grew up playing any and all sports, and have always enjoyed being physically active. I got into Yoga after pulling my Piriformis muscle, and started attending restorative classes. I kept going to classes because of the sense of calm and well being Yoga gave me. While getting my associates of science degree from Portland Community College I noticed that they offered a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training program, and signed up. It was a year long program that focused heavily on Yoga Philosophy and Ayurveda. I love that practicing Yoga not only gives us a better understanding of our own bodies, but also a better understanding of life and what it means to be connected to a larger whole. I started off as a children's Yoga teacher and bring a sense of playfulness and curiosity to my adult classes. I truly believe in the physical and mental healing power of Yoga. I am working towards an advanced Yoga certification and ultimately want to become a Yoga therapist.
